History

PRS Investment Advisory was founded in 1981 with one clearly defined vision: To help our clients achieve their goals.

The three founders of PRS, whose last name initials were used to name the company, met over two decades ago at Harvard Business School. When they began working together, their entrepreneurial spirit honed in on a well-supported observation: that clients want and need more service, risk control, diversification, and flexibility than what traditional full-service banks offered. This shared pioneering vision of Luis Parajon, Gonzalo Rodriguez-Fraile, and John Sullivan became PRS, one of the United States’ first multi-family offices. Through this critically acclaimed approach, PRS has grown to be an industry leader in financial advising, providing impeccable management and structuring of investments in conjunction with extraordinary customized services and powerful international resources.

In 2007, the globally active Swiss private banking and investment group EFG International acquired PRS in order to access the talents of this boutique firm. As a company under the EFG umbrella, PRS has maintained its distinctive investment philosophy and culture, while benefiting from the scale and substantial resources of its parent.

PRS founder, Gonzalo Rodriguez-Fraile, continues as Chairman of the Board. President and Chief Executive Officer, Benjamin Hein, brings the depth of a senior executive with significant investment experience.
