

Benjamin joined PRS in 2007 as head of the investment management department. In his role as Chief Investment Officer, Benjamin Hein is responsible for the management of PRS’ investment vehicles and the construction of client investment portfolios. Benjamin’s other duties include the management of relationships with PRS’ external investment advisors and service providers.
In late 2011 Benjamin assumed the responsibility of President of PRS in recognition of the leadership role he had taken since his start at PRS in 2007.
Prior to joining PRS, Benjamin worked at SunTrust Banks as a senior portfolio manager specializing in international high net worth clients, at John Hancock Advisors in Boston as a senior analyst specializing in corporate and emerging market fixed income, and at BHF-Bank in Frankfurt, Germany. His understanding of institutional and private client investment management and of traditional and alternative investments makes him a tremendous asset to clients.
Benjamin graduated with bachelor’s degrees in German, economics and Portuguese from Columbia University and earned his masters in European studies and international economics from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of The John Hopkins University.
Benjamin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) designations. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification. He is an active member of many community organizations including CFA-Miami, the local member society of the CFA Institute. His personal interest in innovative art and culture is reflected in his tenure as a board member of Tigertail Productions. Benjamin speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese, German, French and Italian.
